Raees vs Kaabil: Farhan Akhtar says they chose January 25 to avoid the big clash

Farhan Akhtar said they had no idea that the makers of Kaabil were also planning to release their film on January 25.

Producer Farhan Akhtar says in order to avoid the box office clash between his upcoming production Raees and Rakesh Roshan’s Kaabil, he preponed the release date of the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer to January 25 but had no clue that the makers of Kaabil will also decide to do the same date.

Kaabil producer Rakesh Roshan, in a recent interview, had claimed that Raees makers acted unethically by changing the date of their film from January 26 to a day prior despite knowing that Kaabil will be releasing the same day.

Responding to the criticism, Farhan told indianexpress.com that he had met Rakesh and Hrithik Roshan to talk about the clash and only after that he decided to prepone the release date of Raees.
